Slow Stitching Sunday - Updates on quilts

Here is the updated (as of last night) picture of Stephen's quilt. I am almost half way across the "row" I am quilting. Hopefully I will be able to roll it down tonight or tomorrow night after work.

This is the Baltimore Blue that will be mine! I am hand quilting it in a hoop and Stephens is on the floor frame.
This is the new hand applique quilt I am starting. I have the first block ready to work on. Maybe start sewing the pieces down tonight?
I also have quilted diamonds started from a long time ago that hasn't been worked on in forever. Dear Hannah that has been started but not very far along. Hopefully once Stephen's is done ( I am trying for his birthday the beginning of August) I will alternate through the rest and make some progress on all of them since I am finally able to do some after work some nights, It just took awhile to settle in to a new pattern with working full time.

Not My Design Wall, But What I am Working on Today

I am basting the Baltimore Blue quilt so that I can hand quilt without a hoop or frame. Normally, for a small quilt top I will just spray baste, but since this is rather large, I am afraid it may shift some with all the adjusting in my lap. So I started out spray basting to put it on the floor frame, shoulders couldn't handle all the stretching for that, so then I decided I would use the hoop, to large and uncomfortable for the shoulders too, so now I will lap quilt without anything lol. I use the Sharon Schamber method to baste where she uses the two pieces of wood. It works really well for all sizes however I don't use it for baby quilts. They are small enough I usually just spray baste them. Here is a picture of the basting in progress. I am right at half finished with the basting.

Edited: I am not able to replace the lost pictures. sorry but there are newer pictures in a more recent post of the blocks.

Baltimore Blue Top Finished!

I started this quilt quite a few years ago. It is hand appliqued and I have worked on it, put it aside, worked on it, put it aside, many many times. I just put the final border on and have the backing fabric in the dryer as I type. Hubby and son set up the hand quilt floor frame (had to use the long rails!) and the batting is relaxing in the sewing room. So probably tonight (or more likely tomorrow) I will put the quilt on the frame and hopefully take a few first stitches. I have not totally decided how I will quilt it but I will take my time and make decisions as I go. I have plenty of time, as this is for me. Haven't rushed the applique and have no plans to rush the quilting. The top measures about 67" square. Nice size.  Here are pictures.

Edited: Do to problems with pictures I am not replacing these. There are newer posts with pictures of this quilt.

An Old Project Started back up.

This is the block from the Baltimore Blue Quilt from http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/ .  When I got the patterns they were a block of the month. I have 4 of the blocks appliqued. This is block 6. I started block 5, didn’t like the pattern for that block and put it aside till the others are done. Then I will decide if I am doing it the way it is designed or making up my own design for that block. I checked the site for a picture of the pattern, but it is so old it is not there anymore.  If I think about it later I will get out the four blocks that are all done and take pictures to post.
Anyway on this block one flower is sewn already along with one leaf.
